Tony Watt & fellow actor/film-maker Vivita started working on 'genre' exploitation films after they quit their jobs in TV production.
Tony Watt met fellow actor/film-makers: Vivita & Martin Magee (as well as documentary film-maker Dominique Radwanski); when he hired them as co-hosts/crew for a film-maker showcase t.v. show; based out of the popular Toronto-based 'Cineforum' film theatre, owned by the infamous, controversial Toronto writer, magazine publisher and film archivist/screener/lecturer: Reg Hartt.
Tony Watt founded the Canadian (now defunct) Toronto-based 'Twisted Sinema Underground Movie Festival' that showcased indie film-makers in the early 2000s.
In 2012, Watt started work on his second adult comix/graphic novel/ ero-manga series, called: 'Space Chick & Nympho the Barbarian Party Girl'; merging two bawdy female hentai characters, that he created for a series of late '90s Canadian adult magazine cartoon adventures.
In 2009, Award winning Canadian horror author and TV host (Flatline, Post-Mortem, Nightmare in Canada: Canadian Horror on Film) Edo van Belkom's son Luke started filming 'Acid Head: The High School Horror' based on a loose script plot the young van Belkom co-wrote with actor/filmmaker Tony 'Tex' Watt. The script's projected budget was originally too high; so Watt decided to shoot an improvised sequel, first, based on situations deriving from his previous script.
In 2011, started publishing an action comic/graphic novel series, called Code Name: King.
Met frequent collaborator: Vivita, over the internet.
Watt is also a rock recording artist, cartoonist, t.v. producer, former radio d.j. & nightclub entertainer.
Watt is also a nightclub entertainer & former pop/rock/metal recording artist.
He uses two main books as his bibles, during his film making process: "All I Need to Know about Film Making, I Learned from the Toxic Avenger" and "Make Your Own Damn Movie!" by Lloyd Kaufman (co-founder of Troma Studios & creator of the Toxic Avenger).
